Winning Smart Victory Post #36 The Red, Hot, Electric 12th Man Edition

Georgia rolled out the new red lights for an electrified home crowd.

NCAA Football: Notre Dame at Georgia Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Your University of Georgia Bulldogs carded their fourth win of the 2019 – 2020 season last night courtesy of the 12th man. The fans in the stadium caused the Irish to burn two timeouts early in the second half leaving them with none in the critical last few minutes of the game. From inside the stadium we saw a decibel meter that gave us a level to beat of 107. I know I saw it clear 111. My voice and my hearing are both suffering as I type this at 3am having just gotten back to Stone Mountain from the game. On a scale of 1 - 10 the atmosphere was a solid 999,999,999.

It is our intention to celebrate Georgia Bulldog Football Wins whenever and wherever they occur. The ugliness of any particular win is irrelevant for the purposes of the Winning Smart Victory Post.

It is therefore my deepest honor and privilege to bring to you this week’s edition of: The Winning Smart Victory Post.

Coach Kirby Smart currently boasts a 36-10 record and a 0.7778 winning percentage, having carded his thirty-sixth win overall over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

At the identical juncture in their careers:

Vince Dooley’s 46th game as head coach resulted in a Georgia Bulldog win over the South Carolina Gamecocks early in the 1968 season. Giving Coach Dooley a record of 32-12-2 and 0.7174 percentage.

Coach Mark Richt was 37-9 (0.8043) after beating the Vanderbilt Commodores in his fourth season as head coach.

Forty-six games into his head coaching career Kirby Smart is one game behind Coach Mark Richt and ahead of Coach Vince Dooley by 3 games. As of now, he is holding his own versus the two winningest coaches in Georgia Football History.

As always . . .

Go ‘Dawgs !!!
