Joystick, Hardman among NFL Dawgs with a big week

A big spotlight is on Athens this week with Notre Dame in town, but the focus on the players produced was also high in this past Sunday’s NFL action.

The Browns 23-3 win over the Jets included a nice little exchange...Nick Chubb being tackled by Jordan Jenkins,

Chubb rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown while Jenkins had a tackle before leaving with an injury.

Isaiah McKenzie had two catches for 40 yards and a touchdown in a 28-14 Buffalo win over the Giants, who were paced by Deandre Baker’s three tackles, four from Lorenzo Carter and five by Alec Ogletree.

The Lions edged the Chargers with Matthew Stafford throwing for 245 yards and a touchdown. Thomas Davis, who had 12 tackles for San Diego, leads the NFL in that category.

Sony Michel rushed for 85 yards and Isaiah Wynn started at left tackle as the Patriots romped over the Dolphins, who had a sack from John Jenkins.

Todd Gurley’s 63 rushing yards helped the Rams top the Saints 27-9.

Mecole Hardman got his first touchdown on the Chiefs high-powered offense, hauling in a 42-yard score in a win against the Raiders.

The Colts claimed a close win against the Titans and were led by Justin Houston’s four tackles. Ben Jones played all 60 offensive snaps for the Titans at center.

Chris Conley caught four passes for 73 yards in a 13-12 Jaguars loss to the Texans.

In a 41-17 loss to the Niners, Geno Atkins had four tackles and Shawn Williams had nine for the Bengals.

The Bears turned in another strong defensive showing led by Georgia products. Leonard Floyd had two tackles with Roquan Smith having a team-high 13.
