Your University of Georgia Bulldogs carded their third win of the 2019 – 2020 season yesterday afternoon on a day when the biggest story in College Football was the Class of the Bulldog Nation in honoring the woman the Red Wolves family called “Mama Wendy.” I couldn’t be more proud of the Bulldog Nation as a whole and of this little community that started the whole thing. I’ve spent my weekend well north of the Mason Dixon line (for good reasons I swear) and my heart was truly warmed by the response to the call #WearPinkForWendy. DGD’s all of y’all.
It is our intention to celebrate Georgia Bulldog Football Wins whenever and wherever they occur. The ugliness of any particular win is irrelevant for the purposes of the Winning Smart Victory Post.
It is therefore my deepest honor and privilege to bring to you this week’s edition of: The Winning Smart Victory Post.
Coach Kirby Smart currently boasts a 35-10 record and a 0.7778 winning percentage, having carded his thirty-fifth win overall over the Arkansas State Red Wolves.
At the identical juncture in their careers:
Vince Dooley’s 45th game as head coach resulted in a Georgia Bulldog win over the Clemson Tigers early in the 1968 season. Giving Coach Dooley a record of 31-12-2 and 0.7111 percentage.
Coach Mark Richt was 36-9 (0.8000) after losing to the Tennessee Volunteers in his fourth season as head coach.
Forty-five games into his head coaching career Kirby Smart is one game behind Coach Mark Richt and ahead of Coach Vince Dooley by 3 games. As of now, he is holding his own versus the two winningest coaches in Georgia Football History.
As always . . .
Go ‘Dawgs !!!
