Thursday Morning Dawg Bites

You’re over the hump and cruisin’ towards another football weekend.

NCAA Football: Murray State at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Good Thursday morning, err’body. Weather permitting (yeah, this time of year the models are always trying to develop a something), I’ll escape south Florida to be in Athens next week about this time. However, with all of the incredible buzz and wonderful support for #WearPinkForWendy, this weekend sounds like it’s shaping up to be quite special. These last few days have been so much fun as we watch the evolution of a simple fantastic idea and how it has just exploded. It’s love is what it is.

On to some morning tiddly-bits and newsy notes...

At least one writer at USA Today feels Georgia fans shouldn’t get their hopes up too much about booking for the college football playoffs. He feels we’re destined to play Texas again in a Sugar Bowl rematch. If this happens, just go ahead and cryogenically freeze me until next September.

Let’s just get some more Debby Downer Doo-Doo out of the way. Warning: It’s really just click-bait. The only thing that’ll hold back our receiver corps is the playbook. I think they’re getting that part down as I type.

To some, Jake Fromm’s performance last Saturday might have looked a bit pedestrian. Pro Football Focus thinks his performance is worthy of the #3 graded QB in the land last week vs. Murray State.

Arkansas State has some dudes. I don’t think they have enough dudes to match up with our dudes, but dude! You never know. We can’t get caught looking ahead to next week.

This football season has not gone well for Tennessee thus far. While we may take joy in it, former Vol and current ‘Dawg Eli Wolf certainly is not.

GATA, Solomon Kindley! He’s one of those under-the-radar guys who just works his butt off every day.

We all know that if you’re going to play receiver in Georgia’s offense, you have to block. It seems like it has become a point of pride for many Georgia players.

Have yourselves a wondermous morning, everyone. Embrace this time, folks. Saturday is already week three. All of this just goes by so quickly.

That’s All I’ve got. As Always,

GO DAWGS!
