In a week when four out of the seven teams that make up the SEC Eastern Division lost, your University of Georgia Bulldogs carded their first win of the 2019 – 2020 season last night on the road against an SEC East Opponent. While some will say things were a touch dispiriting after the first half, it’s never a bad thing to beat an SEC East Opponent by 24 points in their home stadium. The Bulldog faithful made the trip to Nashville in droves, effectively taking over the stadium and eliminating any home team advantage for the Commodores. The loyalty of the Bulldog Nation remains a Bulldog Point of Pride!
It is our intention to celebrate Georgia Bulldog Football Wins whenever and wherever they occur. The ugliness of any particular win is irrelevant for the purposes of the Winning Smart Victory Post.
It is therefore my deepest honor and privilege to bring to you this week’s edition of: The Winning Smart Victory Post.
Coach Kirby Smart currently boasts a 33-9 record and a 0.7857 winning percentage, having carded his thirty-third win overall over the Vanderbilt Commodores.
At the identical juncture in their careers:
Vince Dooley’s 42nd game as head coach resulted in a Georgia Bulldog victory over Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets giving Coach Dooley a record of 30-11-1 and 0.7262 percentage.
Coach Mark Richt was 34-8 (0.8095) after beating the South Carolina Gamecocks in his third season as the UGA head coach.
Forty-two games into his head coaching career Kirby Smart is one game behind Coach Mark Richt and ahead of Coach Vince Dooley by 2 ½ games. As of now, he is holding his own versus the two winningest coaches in Georgia Football History.
As always . . .
Go ‘Dawgs !!!
