Apparently Georgia will be running a “completely new” and “fun” offense under new coordinator James Coley.
That’s all well and good, but I’ll believe it when Kirby Smart blesses it. As the Head ‘Dawg knows, there’s nothing more fun that grinding your opponent to a fine powder by running over and over behind a massive offensive line.
It’s also worth noting that Georgia was 18th in the nation in total offense in 2018 and 2nd in the SEC in scoring offense at 37.9 points per game. So a “totally new offense” probably isn’t so necessary as marginally better tight end utilization and a little better execution on the goal line. That would just about do it.
On the hardwood, Tom Crean picked up a late edition to his 2019 recruiting class yesterday when Kansas City power forward Michael Peake committed to the Red and Black over Virginia Tech and St. Louis. Including a couple of transfers and a gaggle of freshmen Georgia is likely to have at least ten new players on the roster in 2019-2020. Order your game programs now, you’re gonna need them.
The Murray brothers remain DGDs: Dang Good Dudes.
Ever have anything you wanted to thank Champ Bailey for? Just give him a call, let him know.
Looks like the Gators may be having depth issues on defense already. Florida’s first 22 are good. But injuries and suspensions wouldn’t have to bite too deep to get into the meat of the Saurians’ lineup. It’s almost as if this recruiting stuff actually matters. Until later...
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
