Tuesday Morning ‘Dawg Bites

Welcome to Tuesday, Bulldog fans! In case you didn’t know, I spent my formative years in the 80’s (emotional development was thwarted during the same span). As such, I will try to bring you the best** music from this seminal decade that also produced a mobile phone that was bigger than a breadbox, or came in a crappy faux-leather bag that plugged directly into your car cigarette lighter and required a separate antennae installation that ruined the flow of your Corolla.

The anticipation of actual Georgia Bulldog football is palpable. Tangible. It creates an actual, physical reaction. It is so close one thinks one can taste it. As such, I, for one, get weak.

Now let’s move on to news and notes from the University of Georgia.
Let’s start with the horse’s mouth. See the entirety of Coach Kirby Smart’s press conference below:

Wait... we only started preparing for Vanderbilt on FRIDAY??? You’ve had 250+ days for the next game!!! Why only start this past weekend? What. The. Freak.

At least Jake Fromm seems to be in the right mindset. Truth be told, if he said anything different, I’d be worried. First game of the season interview? Check.

And other players were thinking in a similar vein, thanks to this Macon Telegraph beat.

That doesn’t mean the players have eschewed having a longer term season goal. The Banner-Herald takes a peak at what our Bulldogs see for the season.

You can’t ever be sure who will show up on the Georgia sideline, and Kirby Smart is a tad less open than his predecessor. Still, if you didn’t get everything you wanted to know from Coach’s presser, you can check the latest injury report (signifying nothing).

In a different light, all of Bulldog Nation is saying a collective “Get Well Soon, Boss” to former Bulldog and 2 time Super Bowl winner David Andrews.

There are some predictions for the Georgia Bulldog season, and some go out on a limb. I can’t say this stretches much, but it does get one to thinking (and clicking).

The Red and Black once again delivers hard-hitting, no-nonsense practice reports. If you don’t love that first paragraph, I can’t help you.

In some Beyond The Hedges love, the UGA Women’s Soccer team got off to a hot start, shutting out the Binghamton Bearcats in the Athen’s home opener. I’ve spent some time in Binghamton. It’s... not pretty.

We’re in Game Week mode, so stay tuned for all your favorites, not to mention a couple of last player spotlights and position group breakdowns. Thanks for reading, and as always...

GO ‘DAWGS!!!
