Good Wednesday morning, Dawg fans! In 10 days, we will be lacing them up on West End as we take on the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Before we make the roughly 3 ½ hour trek to Nashville, let’s get up to date with the latest news surrounding the Georgia Bulldogs’ program.
· Offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer was spotted in a walking boot and on crutches. Kirby has yet to provide an update on the sophomore’s injury, who is currently getting reps with the second team line at right tackle.
· In other injury news, freshman linebacker Nakobe Dean reportedly has a sprained ankle. Dean is one of the top freshman linebackers in the nation and is slated to see a lot of playing time for a defense in need of star power at the linebacker position.
· In the most watched position battle of the summer, the wide receiver picture is starting to become clearer. It appears that Tyler Simmons and Matt Landers will be the starters at the Y and X receiver spots, respectively, with George Pickens and Lawrence Cager running with the twos.
· The nation’s number one high school running back, Zachary Evans, looks like he may be playing his collegiate football in Athens. According to predictions on 247Sports, the Dawgs are the leader in the Crystal Ball projections. Pairing him with commit Kendall Milton could give Georgia yet another incredible 1-2 tandem in the backfield.
See y’all in ten days up in Nashville, and GO DAWGS!!!
