Another day, another big win on the recruiting trail for the Pitt Boss.
New Orleans offensive lineman Sedric Van Pran picked the Bulldogs tonight over a long list of finalists including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. Van Pran is rated the #3 player in the state of Louisiana and the #101 overall player in America by 247Sports.
The 6’4, 305 pound four star offensive lineman is rated as a center but could also play guard if called upon to do so.
Van Pran is big-bodied with quicker feet than you’d expect. He also gets up to the second level well, and does a great job locking on defenders and driving them into the turf. Much like 2019 commit and current freshman Clay Webb, Van Pran will probably get a first look at guard and provide depth at center.
I expect that with Van Pran’s commitment Georgia is done on the offensive line for this signing class. But with the five total offensive line pledges the Bulldogs have gone a long way toward maintaining the impressive depth built during Coach Smart’s first three classes in Athens. Until later...
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
