Oops, he did it again.
Bulldog offensive line coach Sam Pittman has been working hard to round out his 2020 haul and took another step in that direction this weekend with the pledge of four star offensive tackle Chad Lindberg. The League City, Texas (Clear Creek High) standout picked the Red and Black over Alabama, Clemson, Texas, Texas A&M, and a host of others.
At 6’6 and 327 pounds Lindberg has the size Coach Pittman is always looking for. In addition Lindberg also has a Texas-sized mean streak.
The #133 prospect in the nation and #14 offensive tackle also brings good footwork and pad level to the table. A few other items of note:
• Lindberg’s commitment gives Georgia 3 of 247Sports’ top 15 offensive tackles in the 2020 class.
• Lindberg is the fifth commitment for the Bulldogs from the state of Texas in the last three recruiting cycles. Prior to that Georgia hadn’t signed a player from the Lonestar State since some kid named Matt Stafford in 2006.
• Georgia may not be done. After a huge recruiting weekend with tons of talented prospects on campus it’s not out of the question that the Bulldogs could add some more big commitments in the next few days. Until later...
