A Tradition Unlike Any Other: Your Masters Sunday Open Thread

It’s the final day of the Masters in Augusta, and a familiar face is lurking near the top of the leaderboard. Tiger Woods sits one shot back in second place going into what appears to be a storm harried final day.

Due to inclement weather sweeping across the Peach State today golfers will be leaving from the 1st and 10th tees this morning with the leaders set to tee off at 9:20 AM. That includes Francesco Molinari who emerged from a scrum at the top of the leaderboard to shoot a six under par 66 on Saturday.

Bubba Watson is the medalist among former UGA golfers, tied for 20th at five under. That places him eight shots behind Molinari so that, barring a come back for the ages, a former Georgia golfer will not don the green jacket this year.

Nevertheless, Watson, Keith Mitchell, and Kevin Kisner have all had a solid tournament and could each finish in the top 20 with a great round today.

Television coverage will begin at 9 AM on CBS, with streaming coverage on the Masters website. Everybody have a great Sunday, and…

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
