Georgia lands instate wide receiver for class of 2020

NCAA Football: Florida at Georgia Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Kirby Smart & Co. picked up their fourth commitment for the class of 2020 this evening when Eagles Landing Christian wide receiver Justin Robinson announced his commitment to the ‘‘Dawgs.

The 6’4, 200 pound standout chose the Red and Black over offers from Notre Dame, Penn State, Florida, Tennessee, and Florida State among others. A four star prospect according to 247Sports, Robinson is also ranked the #30 player in Georgia and the #63 wide receiver for the class.

Robinson was being recruited by several schools as a safety. He’s a solid hitter who’s not afraid of contact, so that makes sense. I also think Robinson has a frame to add weight in a college conditioning program.

As a receiver his size is a big asset, and while Robinson doesn’t necessarily have blazing speed he’s elusive, catches the ball well, and shows some good body control. I could see him as a prospect who climbs the rankings with a solid summer of camp performances.
