Georgia signed two scholarship quarterbacks back in December in Early National Signing Day. Neither of those was Mississippi signal caller John Rhys-Plumlee, who had by then been verbally committed to the Red and Black for several months. That was a pretty decent indication of where Plumlee stood with the ‘Dawgs. But for those who need things spelled out:

Plumlee has the tools to really excel in a spread attack like the one favored by Ole Miss. He’s also less likely to be recruited over in Oxford than Athens, where he was being asked to take a blue shirt in order to count as part of the 202 class.
Georgia got its steady backup of the present in Stetson Bennett and a contender for the future starting job in Dwan Mathis. Now the Bulldogs can go into Signing Day on Wednesday looking to fill remaining slots in the secondary, offensive line, and at receiver. Best of luck, John, and...
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
