Georgia Overview

Georgia defeated Georgia Tech 52-7 in the largest beatdown in the history of the rivalry. However, the more concerning news to come out of this game was D’Andre Swift’s bruised shoulder and George Pickens’ first half suspension in the SEC Championship Game. Swift should “hopefully” be fine, and Pickens will be motivated to make up for his first half absence.

As we all know, the Dawgs face LSU in the SEC Championship Game this weekend with a spot in the College Football Playoffs on the line. Go Dawgs!

Movers

Fell Out: #23 Iowa State, #24 Virginia Tech

Newcomers: #23 Virginia, #24 Navy

Overrated

#7 Baylor. It’s really hard to beat a team twice. However, Oklahoma will do just that against the Bears this weekend in the Big 12 Championship game, ending Baylor’s playoff hopes and sending them to the Sugar Bowl – which isn’t a bad consolation prize for the Bears.

Underrated

#11 Auburn. Auburn is good enough to warrant an invite to a New Years 6 bowl game. They have several impressive wins, and their losses aren’t bad at all. Plus, they have improved as the year has gone on, thanks to true freshman quarterback Bo Nix developing into a future star. As a Dawg, I’m nervous about Bo 2.0 over the next few years.

Upset Alert

Last week, I thought Oklahoma State would take down Oklahoma in Bedlam. Needless to say, I was quite wrong.

This week, in their first game all season as the underdog, you know I’m taking the Dawgs to upset LSU and move on to the College Football Playoff. Behind a great defensive effort and timely, albeit unexpected, big plays on offense see us hold off the Tigers in a hard-fought win and our second SEC title in three seasons.
