The first College Football Playoff rankings are out, and the Dawgs are in a good spot at #6. Let’s take care of business in our last three SEC games plus Tech and get to Atlanta with a shot at the Playoff.
Before that, there are several key conference games to be settled, first and foremost this weekend with #2 LSU at #3 Alabama. Let’s check-in on the other 13 teams in the conference.
Here’s what’s happening around the SEC:
- Florida redshirt freshman offensive lineman Chris Bleich has entered the transfer portal following the Gators’ loss to Georgia. Bleich had started 8 of 9 games for the Gators. I’d think Florida did a poor job of recruiting if guys were coming in and then immediately walking out the door.
- Missouri quarterback Kelly Bryant is only at 75% due to an injury, and if the game against UGA had been played yesterday, Bryant would have been on the sidelines according to coach Barry Odom.
- Vanderbilt is down their top two quarterbacks on the depth chart. With Mo Hasan and Riley Neal out, the Commodores will now turn to Deuce Williams and Allan Walters.
- Mark Stoops is at the center of the coaching rumor mill. The Kentucky head coach is being heavily linked to a move to Florida State. Will the Wildcats keep him?
Until next time… GO DAWGS!!!
