Georgia Overview

The Dawgs went down to Jacksonville and won their third straight against Florida, prevailing by a score of 24-17. The offense completed 12 of 18 third downs against Florida defensive coordinator Todd Grantham’s unit, and Lawrence Cager had a career day going for 7 catches and 132 yards with a score.

The Dawgs return home against Missouri Saturday night under the lights, between the hedges, and in the driver’s seat for the SEC East title.

Movers

Fell Out: #20 Appalachian State

Newcomers: #25 Navy

Overrated

#8 Utah. The Utes are very fortunate to win against Washington, thanks in large part to a momentum shifting pick-six thrown by Jacob Eason. Utah will fall to Oregon later this season, and quite possibly to UCLA this weekend.

Underrated

#13 Minnesota. Minnesota is being regarded very similarly to Iowa back in 2015, when the Hawkeyes went undefeated in the regular season with a shot at the Playoff despite not being THAT good. This Golden Gophers team is much better than that Iowa team, and they have a legitimate shot at upsetting Penn State this weekend.

#1 LSU at #2 Alabama

#18 Iowa at #16 Wisconsin

Upset Alert

Last week, I incorrectly predicted SMU would topple Memphis on the road. This week, against my better judgment, I’ll be taking LSU to defeat Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Please @ me and let me know how wrong I am… because you’re right.
