Winning Smart Victory Post #40 Shut ‘Em Out

Your University of Georgia Bulldogs carded their eighth win of the 2019 – 2020 season last night. The Classic City Canines took a 10 – 0 lead before the end of the first quarter and never, ever relinquished it. There was a moment late in the game when the Tigers had a glimmer of hope that they might score but the Georgia Defense denied entrance to the end zone.

It is our intention to celebrate Georgia Bulldog Football Wins whenever and wherever they occur. The ugliness of any particular win is irrelevant for the purposes of the Winning Smart Victory Post.

It is therefore my deepest honor and privilege to bring to you this week’s edition of: The Winning Smart Victory Post.

Coach Kirby Smart coached his 51st game tonight for the Red & Black. He currently boasts a 40-11 record and a 0.7843 winning percentage, having carded his fortieth win overall over the University of Missouri Tigers.

At the identical juncture in their careers:

Vince Dooley’s 51st game as head coach resulted in a Georgia Bulldog tie with the Florida Gators in the 1968 season. Giving Coach Dooley a record of 36-12-3 and 0.7353 percentage.

Coach Mark Richt was 41-10 (0.8039) after beating the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in his fourth season as head coach.

Fifty one games into his head coaching career Kirby Smart is one game behind Coach Mark Richt and ahead of Coach Vince Dooley by 2 ½ games. As of now, he is holding his own versus the two winningest coaches in Georgia Football History.

As always . . .

Go ‘Dawgs !!! Beat Auburn!
