It’s Wednesday and we are just three days away from the Cocktail Party… or two days away from Frat Beach in St. Simons if you’re a UGA undergrad.
Let’s take a peek at the other thirteen teams in the conference that is poised to place two teams in the Playoff.
Here’s what’s happening around the SEC:
- LSU defensive tackle Justin Thomas has stepped away from the team for personal reasons. Here’s hoping he can resolve whatever has taken him away from the team.
- Florida is still working on getting Georgia transfer Brenton Cox eligible to play at some point this season. On a related note, Kirby Smart is not concerned about what Cox may be telling Uncle Eddie about the Dawgs.
- Rumors are swirling that if Vanderbilt does indeed let coach Derek Mason go, one of the top candidates to replace him would be Jeff Fisher. Fisher, who coached the Tennessee Titans and still has a house in Nashville, would be an extremely interesting choice.
- Ole Miss quarterback Grant Tisdale has entered the transfer portal. A former four-star in the 2019 class, he has lost the Rebels’ quarterback battle to former UGA recruit John Rhys Plumlee.
Until next time… GO DAWGS!!!
