COLLEGE FOOTBALL: SEP 21 Notre Dame at Georgia

It has only been 12 days since we last played and it seems like forever. No wonder the off-season is so insufferably long. Last week’s slate of games were really poor; this week things are a bit more interesting. Conference play is finally full-on.

Las Vegas thinks that Georgia will blow out Tennessee on Saturday night, with the line currently standing at -25. According to this article Vegas is recommending you take the Dawgs and the points. That’s crazy talk...or is it?

On that note, Seth Emerson over at The Athletic ($$) notes that Georgia is blowing out more teams and if there is a reason behind it. All this talk of blowouts and point-spreads is bringing out my inner-Munson big time...

Yesterday evening, the fine folks over at 247Sports had a Q & A session with Tennessee’s 247 point-man Wes Rucker. It’s good stuff if you’ve got the time (it runs over an hour).

Here’s a good recap on Wednesday’s post-practice from Rival’s Anthony Dasher.

“I’m not happy at all. I grew up with those guys, and played four years there with them, and it doesn’t make me happy to see them lose and see their heart break like that”. - Current Georgia TE Eli Wolf on the current state of Tennessee football.

Here’s a fairly level-headed Q & A between a Vol-centric site and yet another contributor to the Dawgosphere. Simply put, Georgia has depth for days; Tennessee does not.

A fan has offered to walk-on and play middle linebacker for the Vols. His 40-yard-dash time might hold him back, but otherwise this is fine.

All this talk of blowouts, walk-on’s, lack of depth and QB issues is making me a bit nervous. I’ll never not Munson. Ever. Will Georgia be focused? At the moment, with the Jeremy Banks situation causing yet another mid-week distraction for Jeremy Pruitt, Tennessee’s distraction level has to be pegging in the red. Still...it’s a Conference game against a hated divisional foe at night in Kneeland Stadium. Are you Munsoning? Even just a little?
