With two weeks to prepare for the Cocktail Party, let’s take a gander at the other 13 teams in the conference.
Here’s what’s happening around the SEC:
- Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had surgery on his ankle for the second straight season, albeit the other ankle this time around. He will miss the Tide’s game against Arkansas, with an eye towards returning for the LSU game.
- Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin is looking to schedule more home-and-homes against P5 schools. In fact, he took to Twitter and said as much. Welcome to 2019.
- South Carolina has been placed on a one-year probation due to a former assistant’s impermissible contact with a recruit. That recruit still ended up committing to Clemson.
- Ole Miss reported that it sold 15,400 beers for a total revenue of $128,000. This is a clear success and I’m sure other institutions will take note.
Until next time… GO DAWGS!!!
