Afternoon Games Open Thread: Champin’ Ain’t Easy

Is South Carolina now good? Is Will Muschamp instead the creepy clown of SEC East football coaches, just dragging kids down into his sewer lair?

While you ponder that, take comfort in the fact that there’s one more round of college football action between you and the impending Monsoon Bowl in Athens.

The marquee matchup of the mid afternoon is probably #12 Oregon at #25 Washington (3:30, ABC). The PAC-12 is a smoking, grinding demolition derby this year. If the Ducks take their second loss of the season it would effectively eliminate the conference from playoff contention.

#2 LSU takes on Mississippi State on CBS at 3:30 as well. While the Bayou Bengals are obviously a prohibitive favorite here, it will be interesting to see if there’s any sort of hangover from last week’s late night triumph over Florida.

#18 Baylor at Oklahoma State (FOX) has the potential to be interesting, especially if you haven’t had a chance to watch the Bears and their national top 20 offense yet this season. Alternately you could tune in to the SEC Network at 4:00 to see Missouri take on Vanderbilt. I’m not sure why one would do that. Nevertheless, you could.

As always you can find the full schedule of today’s college football action here. Until later...

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
