When the All-American Bowl (formerly the Army All-American Bowl) kicks off at 1:00 p.m. eastern on NBC, there’ll be plenty of players for Georgia Bulldog fans to keep an eye on. Four current UGA commits for the class of 2019 will be suiting up for the East squad: defensive linemen Nolan Smith and Travon Walker, wide receiver Dominick Blaylock, and offensive lineman Xavier Truss.
Additionally, a couple of prospects announcing decisions during the game could choose the Bulldogs. Miami (Southridge High) defensive back Tyrique Stevenson has sent in his paperwork but asked that the school of his choice keep it quiet so he could reveal his decision at a live ceremony today. Cedar Grove’s Jadon Haselwood, the top-rated wide receiver in the class of 2019, is also expected to make his choice from among a who’s who of college football programs. The bet here is that the former UGA commit picks the Oklahoma Sooners. That being said, the loss of Riley Ridley and Mecole Hardman to the NFL Draft should make the Bulldog depth chart as appealing as any he’ll see.
Georgia remains in the hunt for another All-American Bowl participant, West Virginia offensive lineman and current Ohio State commit Doug Nester. Until later . . .
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
