While the tweet is not necessarily an official pronouncement, UGA did make it official with a release this afternoon that Co-offensive coordinator/Quarterbacks coach James Coley will be Georgia’s new offensive coordinator.
Promoting Coley isn’t necessarily a splashy hire, but I think it’s the right move. Coley has playcalling experience, is familiar with the Bulldog personnel, and won’t change the verbiage and concepts completely from what has been a very effective attack for the last two seasons. To put things another way, that Brian Schottenheimer guy was a splashy hire.
I don’t want splashy, I just want to keep scoring 30+ a game and watch the young Red and Black defense mature in 2019.
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
