First Quarter Observations

Not ideal

What is it about this team and venues located in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi?

So far, one team is playing like this game is its lone chance to make a statement, to be taken seriously as a program. The other acts like, despite sound bites as of late, it’s mailing it in.

If you’re watching tonight, you have a good idea which is which.

  • Georgia’s defense is missing its all-america DB, leader in sacks and key run clogger up front. It’s shown as Texas has gotten into a good rhythm, namely on its first drive.
  • It says a lot about how worn down this defense’s depth is when Divaad Wilson makes his first play entry of the season.
  • Uga has shown more fight than anyone else on the Georgia sideline
  • Put in a missing person’s report for Mecole Hardman, because he’s AWOL
  • Jim Chaney may be determined to take over the game on the ground...but so far Texas may be forcing him to change his mind. Question is, how long will it taker Georgia to adjust.
  • Special teams, just maybe, maybe be a point of improvement in the offseason
  • This game, depending on how it ends, may result in Kirby banning players from Twitter during the season. Seriously.

Go....Dawgs?
