Georgia Overview

South Carolina did a lot of talking before the game. Georgia did all of their talking on the field with their play. The Dawg took the disrespect Deebo Samuel, Tori Gurley, and others showed and it used it to fuel them to a 41-17 victory in Columbia that saw the home fans exit Williams-Brice en masse.

Jake Fromm went 15 for 18 for 194 yards and a touchdown, and running backs D’Andre Swift, Elijah Holyfield, and Brian Herrien all found the endzone as well. Wide receiver Mecole Hardman continued to show how dangerous of a weapon he is by snagging six catches for 103 yards and a TD while also adding 30 yards on the ground.

Cornerback Deandre Baker made damn sure Deebo Samuel knew who he was by the end of the game. Baker held Samuel to 33 receiving yards and added an interception that should have been a TD had he not dropped it right before crossing the plane.

The Dawgs take on Middle Tennessee State this coming weekend in Sanford Stadium.

Movers

Fell Out: #24 South Carolina, #25 Florida

Newcomers: #23 Arizona State, #24 Oklahoma State

Overrated

#25 Michigan State

There is no reason the Michigan State should still be ranked. The Spartans narrowly escaped with a win at home vs. Utah State in week one before losing to Arizona State this past Saturday. They are an incomplete football team that will be exposed even further in the Big Ten East.

Underrated

#16 Mississippi State

Welcome to the national stage, Kylin Hill. The Mississippi State running back announced himself with a 211 yard rushing day against Kansas State. With quarterback Nick Fitzgerald at the helm, the Bulldogs will make some noise in the toughest division in college football.

This Week’s Top 25 Matchups

#12 LSU at #7 Auburn

#17 Boise State at #24 Oklahoma State

#4 Ohio State vs. #15 TCU

Upset Alert

Last week, I botched the Stanford vs. USC upset prediction. This week, I’m taking two separate field goal underdogs to win outright: Syracuse over Florida State as well as Boise State over Oklahoma State.
