NCAA Football: CFP National Championship Game-Alabama vs Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Once again the Georgia Bulldogs’ road to Atlanta begins in Columbia. The Gamecocks were universally hailed this summer as the SEC East field’s best chance to topple the ‘Dawgs. If the Fightin’ Muschamps want to prove they belong, this is their shot.

In turn, today’s game is a great chance for Kirby Smart and his team to exorcise the demons of a series of poor Bulldog performances in Columbia. I think this one comes down to turnovers. If Georgia can create one or two early and capitalize on them this one’s gonna get fun. Give up one early and the Columbians start playing their dumb electronica and recorded animal sounds and we've got a ball game.

Let’s kick it off!
