Georgia Overview

The Dawgs took care of business against Austin Peay, winning decisively by a final score of 45-0. Almost the entire team got some playing time which was great to see, especially for the guys making their debut Between the Hedges.

This week, Georgia will face a much tougher task in South Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Movers

Fell Out: #19 Florida State, #23 Texas

Newcomers: #24 South Carolina, #25 Florida

Overrated

#11 LSU

As much as I want LSU to be good for Georgia’s strength of schedule, they are not the eleventh best team in the nation. The win against Miami was impressive, but they were still outgained in that game and their quarterback play is still unproven.

Underrated

Unranked Texas A&M

Granted, their first game was against an FCS opponent, but Texas A&M may be better than people think in year one under Jimbo Fisher. They’ll have a true measuring stick game this week against Clemson, and while I don’t think they will win, I think they’ll be impressive enough in the game to go on an potentially finish the season with eight or nine wins, which would vault the Aggies into the year’s final polls.

This Week’s Top 25 Matchups

#3 UGA at #24 South Carolina

#17 USC at #10 Stanford

Upset Alert

Last week, I picked Ole Miss correctly in a mild upset. This week, I’ve got USC going to Stanford and knocking off the Cardinal.
