Georgia Overview

Georgia took care of business against Middle Tennessee State, defeating the Blue Raiders by a final score of 49-7. Elijah Holyfield rushed for 100 yards and Georgia receivers accounted for six touchdowns overall.

The Bulldogs’ strong start to the season has seen them rise to #2 in the latest AP Poll. The Dawgs will put that ranking to the test this weekend as UGA travels to Missouri to face Drew Lock and the Tigers.

Movers

Fell Out: #17 Boise State, #22 USC, #23 Arizona State

Newcomers: #22 Texas A&M, #23 Boston College, #25 BYU

Overrated

#8 Notre Dame. Honestly, the voters did a good job this week in my opinion. But I don’t see Notre Dame lasting the season as a Top 10 team. If they can go to Wake Forest and get the win, which won’t be as easy as initially thought, the Fighting Irish have Stanford and Virginia Tech the following two weeks. I expect the Irish to trip up at least once, if not twice, over the next three weeks.

Underrated

#23 Boston College. Welcome back to the polls, BC! The Eagles have gotten off to a great 3-0 start, and thanks to a back-loaded schedule, Boston College has a decent shot of entering their Friday night matchup in late October against Miami 7-0. It’s time to get used to seeing BC in the polls.

#22 Texas A&M at #1 Alabama

#7 Stanford at #20 Oregon

Upset Alert

Last week, I went one for two, as I said both Syracuse and Boise State would win.

This week, I’m taking Iowa to knock off Wisconsin at home.
