Second Half Open Comment Thread

Welcome to the Second Half Open Comment Thread.

At the end of the first half, our score is 42-7. Coach Smart says we need to play better football. We aren’t doing enough to stop the Blue Raiders; they stopped themselves on two possessions in the first half with a fumble and an interception. I’m guessing we have players in the locker room currently losing a few pounds out of their backsides.

In Coach Smarts mind are 6 penalties for 49 yards, and a couple of times Fromm took a sack.

We’ve got 16 first downs to their 6 and are winning the time of possession 16:59 to 13:01.

Fromm is 10 of 12 and Fields is 3 of 4, hitting 7 different receivers and combining for 165 passing yards and 3 touchdowns.

In rushing, 7 different rushers, including Fromm and Fields combined for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Hot Rod is 6/6 in extra points.

MTSU has 169 yards to our 382 and Coach is right, the two turnovers have really hurt the Blue Raiders chances, however minimal Las Vegas said those chances were.

All in all, it’s a Dawg Day in Athens so far. We just need to Hunker Down in the second half, play our game, and finish the drill.
