Game Day Morning ‘Dawg Bites

NCAA Football: Georgia at South Carolina Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

We’re mere hours away from kickoff between your Georgia Bulldogs and the invading Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders. You thought you had until 7:15 tonight to get ready for game time. You were wrong. So now that the timeline has been compacted, we’re going to need to get through today’s most important links in a hurry.

You know who was in a hurry last night? Bulldog receiver commit Dominick Blaylock, as he scored the game-winning touchdown for Walton in the final minute against defending state champion North Gwinnett.

Also in a hurry? Destrahan, Louisiana 5 star tailback and UGA commit John Emery, who defied the law but couldn’t quite lead his team to victory, falling 37-35 to Ehret (LA). The laws of physics that is.

Georgia will be in a hurry to get to MTSU QB Brent Stockstill. For all the things Kirby Smart’s team has done well defensively, rushing the passer hasn't always been one. But the Blue Raiders’ pass happy attack will give Georgia lots of practice getting to the quarterback ahead of next weekend’s meeting with Mizzou.

Demetris Robertson hasn't actually recorded a catch for Georgia since transferring from Cal. Is it because he’s not playing a ton? How important is it to get him worked insto the passing rotation? Brandon Adams of Dawg Nation has some of the answers.

If you’re in town for the game and looking to see the finest band in the land, the Redcoats have publicized their new and improved schedule for today. You're going to need more coffee.

Are you hyped up to return to the Classic City for a game against a Conference USA team from Murfreesboro? Let me help you. It is Saturday in Athens, after all.
