Happy Friday, Dawg Nation. As we finish up the week and prepare for the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee St. to arrive Between the Hedges, let’s catch up on what’s going on in our league.
Here is what’s happening around the SEC:
- South Carolina’s game against Marshall has been canceled due to Hurricane Florence. Despite what Danny Kanell may have you believe, it was absolutely the right call to cancel this game well in advance.
- The Texas A&M football program has supplanted the University of Texas as the most valuable program in the nation. This is, of course, thanks in large part due to the move to the SEC.
- Kentucky running back Benny Snell is receiving some Heisman hype after the Wildcats’ historic win against Florida. Kentucky isn’t shying away from it, either, and doing their part to boost his campaign.
- Mississippi State wide receiver Jamal Couch is reportedly transferring from the program. The junior receiver’s career never really got launched in Starkville, but he has the size and potential to possibly succeed elsewhere.
- In jersey news, Missouri has unveiled a new jersey combination ahead of their game at Purdue, and our friends at Rock M Nation are loving it.
Until next time… GO DAWGS!!!
