I can’t remember who, but someone once said “You cannot go against Nature, because when you do go against Nature, it’s Nature too.” Wait... oh yeah! It was THIS guy:
We know Kirby Smart’s nature, and that is ramp up competition, put the best man forward, the next man up, and chop you some wood. So why go against Nature? Also in his nature is not to tell the press squat about players, injuries, punishments, or starting lineups.
That being said, the Red and Black do yeoman’s work breaking down 14 minutes of practice film. Harris (TE) was out, but Stanley and Jackson were in (as otherwise reported). What does this mean? It means we have lots of players who potentially can catch a thrown ball. You’re welcome.
As fans, and as a defense, we were spoiled by grad transfer/Ivy League snob Cameron Nizalek. But he won over hearts and minds as he continually pinned opponents deep, got balls out of UGA territory, and created enough hang time to make Kelly Slater proud. Guess what? We got ourselves a good ol’ fashioned duel to take his place.
You like quantitative analysis? There are numbers, and then there are these numbers for the Sanford Stadium facelift. Peruse at your leisure. You’ve seen some of the spots in hype videos, but the real results will continue to come on NSD.
There ain’t much more News to Tell (see above), but the good news is that we’re just hours away from actual, real, honest, by-Gawd Georgia Bulldog football. Let us know what you’re hearing, but keep in mind that we’re going to keep chopping wood and Just Beat Austin Peay. As always...
