UGA picked up its eleventh commitment for the 2019 class when up-and-coming defensive line recruit Zion Logue announced his choice at a family gathering.
The Lebanon, Tennessee native has seen his recruiting pick up in recent weeks with interest from the likes of Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee. That follows a spring and summer that has seen him transform from a 6’5, 240 pound defensive end to a 6’5.5, 285 pound defensive tackle who still has room to grow.
Logue isn’t as highly rated as the other prospects in the Bulldogs’ class, garnering only 3 stars from 247Sports. He’s slotted as the #21 player in the Volunteer State and the #650 player in the nation.
In short Logue is not one of those pickups who will boost the Dawgs’ recruiting rankings, at least not yet. But if he can maintain his quickness Kirby Smart and company may have just picked up a steal at a position of need.
Until later...
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
