March Madness Day Two: Schedule, TV, and Preview

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-First Round-Buffalo vs Arizona Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Day one of the NCAA basketball tournament went pretty much according to script . . . .until it didn’t.

The biggest upset of the mere two games that technically qualified as such came when #13 Buffalo downed #4 Arizona. Or, more accurately, blew them out of the water in a fashion the FBI and NCAA will be hard-pressed to replicate.

Will Friday also save the best for last? The only way to know is to watch, and you can start doing just that at 12:15 when Texas A&M takes on Providence on CBS.

#2 seed Purdue kicks off your truTV action at 12:40 against #15 Cal State Fullerton. Like truTV, Purdue pops up in these situations merely to remind you that it really exists for the other 51 weeks of the year. Devilish, really.

Georgia State takes the court against Cincinnati at 2:00 on TBS. Maybe next year that can be us, fellow Fightin’ Creans.

And at 2:45 North Carolina goes for the win against a scrappy Lipscomb squad. Lipscomb won’t win this one, but they will play enough good basketball to make a handful of Tar Heels fans characteristically grumpy over only winning a tournament game by 20.

All in all, you could do worse things with your Friday afternoon than hang out here watching college basketball. We’re glad you’ve chosen wisely.

Go Creans!!!!
