Third Quarter Open Thread: Walking in Fields of gold.

NCAA Football: Massachusetts at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Georgia will get the ball to start the second half leading 42-13 over UMass. The Minutemen have scored 13 points, which is actually above the average Georgia has surrendered at home this season.

That being said, this one is not now, nor has it ever been, close. Which was the point.

The Bulldog offense has put on an effortless clinic, with Jake Fromm 4 for 4 passing for 97 yards and a touchdown to Tyler Simmons, and Justin Fields 4 of 5 for 127 yards and touchdowns to Simmons and Mecole Hardman. Fields also leads all Bulldog rushers with 62 yards on the ground, including a 47 yard scamper to set up a score.

Look for a whole lot more fields in the second half, as well as freshman walk-on QB Matt Downing, and every running back in the stable. The UGA offense has shown itself sufficiently dialed in, now it’s time to get out of Sanford Stadium with fresh legs. Beat the rush, hate Tech early.

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
