Your Week 12 College Football TV Schedule

It’s educational

In the sleepy West, of the woody East, is a valley full... full o’ pioneer. We’re not just kids, to say the least. We’ve got ideas. To us that’s dear. Like capitalism, like communism, like lots of things you’ve heard about. And redneckers, they get us pissed. And stupid stuff, it makes us shout. Oh, dance with me. Oh, don’t be shy. Oh, kiss me _________. Oh, kiss me _________. Oh, kiss the world. Oh, kiss the sky. Oh, kiss my _________. Oh, let it ride. From the April birds, to the May bees, oh, baby...

* pained screaming *

Sorry. It’s only every so often that I get an opportunity for such an obvious reference. On to your TV schedule.

Now for my picks for your best viewing options in each time slot...

In my opinion, this week’s Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday games are... well... oof. Maybe go see a movie?

Saturday Noon

Harvard Crimson vs. Yale Bulldogs (at Fenway Park), 12:00 p.m., ESPN2

I always enjoy watching Harvard and Yale face-off, and this year they seem particularly closely matched. Both teams are 5-4, 3-2 at home, 2-2 away, and Harvard has scored 174 points on the season to Yale’s 170. They are tied for 3rd in the Ivy League. Should be fun.

Also, this gives me an opportunity to once again plug what is just a fantastic documentary. If you can get your hands on a copy (or you have a sort of laissez-faire attitude toward internet piracy), I highly recommend it.

Saturday Afternoon

UMass Minutemen @ #5 Georgia Bulldogs, 4:00 p.m., SEC Network

University of Massachusetts, please. And here’s the last five.... It’s educational. It’s educational, It’s educational. It’s educational. EEEEEEEEEDDDDDDUUUUUUUUUUUUCAAAAAAATIOOOOON!!!

Again, I apologize. Now that I got that out of my system, yeah I’ll take the Dawgs... and the points.

But before this one, watch the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Syracuse Orange on the Peacock at 2:30. I’d also recommend checking in on Virginia and Georgia Tech, but it’s only regional coverage. Don’t worry, Jackets... we’ll make sure to get you nationally-televised next weekend (Tech hate week(s) started 3 days ago as far as I’m concerned)

Evening

#24 Cincinnati Bearcats @ #11 UCF Knights, 8:00 p.m., ABC

Sure. Why not? See what all the fuss is about as UCF plays what might be its (*holdsinaudiblelaughter*) toughest opponent of season.

Late Night

Arizona Wildcats @ #8 Washington State Cougars, 10:30 p.m., ESPN

You know why.

Whew... now that I look at it, what an absolutely abysmal weekend this is. All the worthwhile games are in the 3:30 slot. Ugh.

Oh well. That’s all for now, folks. Until next time...

GOOOO DAWGS!!!
