I’ve decided that too many players in the backfield is a national epidemic...

NCAA Football: Vanderbilt at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Georgia added a late touchdown right before the half on a beautifully executed 2 (+) minute drill, capped off by a Riley Ridley tipped pass to himself to open up a bit of a lead. Jake Fromm’s numbers are nice: 14 of 19, 207 yards and 2 TD’s.

We are down some players, though - especially on our offensive line - with some injuries. We’ll have to see how this plays out, but Solomon Kindley’s injury looked to be significant.

Vandy’s play calling has been impressive. They’re eating us up with screen passes, diagnosing our blitzes and causing some issues on our edge. Georgia is not playing with discipline on defense at all. Here’s hoping Kirby & Co. chewed some serious ass at the half.

Conversely , Georgia has been inconsistent on both sides of the ball, but that last drive looked like a combination of good play calling and execution. Did I see a bunch of tight end involvement? Knock me over with a feather.

And what’s up with all the penalties? Gotta do better...

Have at it!

GO Dawgs!
