Around the SEC

Happy Friday, Dawg Nation. This is our weekend to rest, relax, and attend any weddings our friends or families have scheduled during football season.

While we may have the week off, the majority of the conference is gearing up for another weekend in the SEC.

Here’s what’s happening around the SEC.

  • Arkansas quarterback Ty Storey is questionable to play in the Razorbacks’ game against Tulsa this Saturday. This would be a big blow for a team looking for their first FBS win of the season.
  • Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn is once again on the hot seat, a bi-annual tradition for the Plainsmen. Except this time, Malzahn’s signature is still drying on a contract extension worth $49 million. If the Tigers do decide to make a change, they will have to pay Malzahn around a $38 million buyout and will also be firing a coach who has multiple victories over Nick Saban.
  • Speaking of Nick Saban, Alabama is set to start walk-on punter Mike Bernier, as former starter Skyler DeLong has struggled. The Tide’s kicking woes continue.
  • LSU is set to wear new alternate uniforms that change colors. If this game against Mississippi State didn’t already scream “let down alert”, it definitely does now.

Until next time… GO DAWGS!!!
