Around the SEC

NCAA Football: Appalachian State at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The much anticipated game in South Bend is finally upon us. I, for one, can’t wait to beat down the Irish, probably by a winning margin of between 4-8.

Here is what’s happening around the SEC:

  • Florida has canceled their game against Northern Colorado Saturday due to Hurricane Irma. No makeup date has been announced.
  • Nick Saban opened up about his cameo appearance in The Blind Side. In typical Saban fashion, he changed up the lines originally given to him.
  • Video has emerged of Kentucky linebacker Jordan Jones getting in an altercation with a fan during the Southern Miss game. Not a good look by any means.
  • Some disturbing hate mail has shown up at Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin’s door step. There is no excuse for this kind of behavior, ever.

Apart from the funny Saban story, there weren’t many upbeat stories this week around the SEC. Let’s hope the Dawgs can put a smile on our faces Saturday night in South Bend.

Until next time… GO DAWGS!!!
