My deepest apologies for the lateness of this post. I have been away from home and only returned late yesterday. That said, on with the celebration.
It is our intention to celebrate Georgia Football Wins whenever and wherever they occur. The ugliness of any particular win is irrelevant for the purposes of the Winning Smart Victory Post.
It is therefore my deepest honor and privilege to bring to you this week’s edition of: Winning Smart Victory Post.
Coach Kirby Smart currently boasts a 9-5 record and a 0.643 winning percentage, having carded his ninth win overall and first win of the season over the Appalachian State Mountaineers. At the identical juncture in their careers:
Vince Dooley’s 14th game as head coach resulted in a win over Michigan giving Coach Dooley a record of 10-3-1 and 0.75 percentage.
Coach Mark Richt was 10-4 (0.714) after beating Clemson to open the 2002 season. His second season with Georgia was CMR’s best season during his tenure.
Fourteen games in to his head coaching career Kirby Smart is 3rd in line trailing Coach Vince Dooley by one & a half game and Coach Mark Richt by one game. He’s just slightly behind the two winningest coaches in Georgia Football History.
As always . . .
Go 'Dawgs !!!
