The only thing that needs to be said about the first half is, SCOREBOARD!!
I know there’s been times in the game when you were feeling uneasy but, your University of Georgia Bulldog Football Team is up 24 to 0 against the Boys of Knoxville.
Taking a look at the first half stats:
Jake Fromm is 5/12 and 62 yards. Fromm’s hit 3 different receivers in the first half: Javon Wims, Terry Godwin & D’Andre Swift. More importantly, Fromm has 5 carries of his own for 12 yards and two touchdowns.
Team Rushing this week is 25 carries for 118 yards. In addition to Fromm’s 5 carries, Nick Chubb has 11 for 75, Sony Michel has 4 for 6, D’Andre Swift has 2 for 23
Hot Rod Blankenship hit his only field goal attempt, putting Georgia on the scoreboard first.
J. R. Reed and Tyrique McGee each have an interception.
So far we've held the Volunteers to:
Passing: 3/12 11 total yards; Rushing: 18 carries for 53 yards; and 6 punts.
We're winning the battle for total offense our 180 to their 64 and time of possession is following along, our 16:17 to their 13:43. The penalty war is theirs with 3 for 20 to our 3 for 15. UT intercepted our ball once, then Butt-Fumbled to give it right back negating the prior interception and setting us up for 7.
Once again, current score is 24 – 0 Georgia – let’s do it again in the second half shall we?
GO DAWGSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
