First Half Open Comment Thread: 100% of it is half mental.

NCAA Football: Mississippi State at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

We’re roughly an hour from kickoff in Sanford Stadium, the point at which most of us feel the tinge of uncertainty about the game ahead.

Maybe you’ve found some things that worry you about this one. Maybe you think there’s no way Georgia loses this one. No matter which camp you fall in I expect you’ll agree that we’ll learn a lot about the mental makeup of this football team today.

Honest question: when is the last time you felt like a Georgia Bulldog football teaming entering a conference matchup as a touchdown favorite couldn’t possibly find a way to screw it up? It’s probably been a while. Because we’ve seen the Red and Black fumble, penalty, and missed tackle away some football games over the past five years.

But if this team can come out and play like it’s capable of playing for a second weekend in a row, even I will get a little excited. A little.

GATA!!!!
