Before the Dawgs tackle the Vols in Neyland, let’s catch you up once more about what’s going on around the league.

Here is what’s happening around the SEC:

• Auburn assistant basketball coach Chuck Person is one of several individuals at the heart of the NCAA basketball scandal. Head coach Bruce Pearl and AD Jay Jacobs could also get wrapped up in this unfolding story as well.
• In better Auburn news, runningback Kamryn Pettway looks to return to the field this Saturday against Mississippi State.
• Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin’s seat is officially hot, if it wasn’t already better before, after the university’s chancellor failed to publicly back him this week.

It’s been a rather uneventful week in the SEC outside of, you know, that massive NCAA-wide scandal.
