We are just a little bit over 24 hours from getting this thing going against Tennessee. I don’t know about you, but I am glad this thing isn’t a 7:30 or 8:00 kickoff. The waiting this week has been insufferable. Let’s just tee it up, take care of business and come home 5-0. Sounds easy, right?
I don’t think Nick Chubb needs any special motivation on Saturday. I think Nick Chubb is one of those rare players that treats every workout session, practice session and game in about the same way: With a rare blend of focus and discipline. By now, you have seen the truly despicable banners on social media that have been making the rounds. I doubt Nick gets enough carries to get him over 200 yards because this is how running back by committee is built, but if ever there was a game in his career where NIck simply “went thermonuclear” on his opponent, I hope this is the one. I believe Nick is ready. So are #1, #7, #35 and #13. Get it done, guys.
Those Tennessee cretins that hung those banners are bad people. Thank God for good people. Have you seen this story about Keith Marshall? Always a DGD.

Why we love sports today. Indeed.
Dawgs247 has an interesting piece on some players in tomorrow’s game who tackle pretty darn good, and a couple who don’t. Perhaps the ones who don’t tackle so well will get a hefty does of Nick Chubb rammed right down their throats. Oh, and J.R. Reed is a revelation. Wow.
Jacob Eason will travel with the team and could play on Saturday, but only if something happened to Jake Fromm (hey, it’s KneeLand Stadium. Worse things have happened). But we’re not even going to think about that.
HOUR 2: @DawgNationDaily has a report on the #Dawgs. Will Jacob Eason make the trip to Knoxville? https://t.co/vLj55EwSY1

DawgNationDaily’s Brandon Adams was on the Paul Finebaum show yesterday and all but confirmed this. Pretty good backup QB, no? I kid. Or, do I?
Enjoy your Friday, everyone. Tomorrow is huge.
As Always,
