Around the SEC

NCAA Football: Mississippi State at Georgia Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Dawgs took care of business, and then some, on Saturday against Mississippi State. As we head into Tennessee week, we’ll catch you up on what you may have missed in your celebration this weekend.

Here is what’s happening around the SEC:

  • The nine suspended Florida players are now facing multiple felony charges due to their involvement in the alleged credit card fraud. Needless to say, it looks dim that they will be returning to the field this season.
  • In other Florida news, quarterback Luke Del Rio has been named the starter against Vanderbilt on Saturday. Del Rio came on to replace Feleipe Franks in the Gators’ 28-27 win over Kentucky.
  • LSU’s injury list is continuing to grow, as safety Ed Paris has gone down for the year. Star running back Derrius Guice will miss the game against Troy on Saturday as well.
  • Tennessee is now once again the Champions of Life. For rules on becoming the Champions of Life, check out this SB Nation article.

Until next time… GO DAWGS!!!
