We’re only a couple of days away from a pretty big kickoff. And if you’re anything like me, time seems to be passing a little bit slower than you would like. So at this time, we endeavor to help you get through at least a few of the remaining minutes by providing you with news and assorted minutiae from around the Bulldog Nation. These are your Thursday Morning Dawg Bites:
- To begin, The Red & Black brings us a report from Wednesday’s practice. It includes a few injury updates and then this little tidbit:
The offense spent the first part of the media viewing period practicing its “Wildcat” package
Now, on one hand, this could just be a master troll job on the media and Mississippi State by the coaching staff. On the other, it could be part of some widespread conspiracy to make all the blood vessels in my eyeballs simultaneously explode around 7:10 pm on Saturday night. The former is significantly less likely than the latter. I don’t like it. I don’t like it one bit.
- The Augusta Chronicle has a nice profile of Lorenzo Carter. It sounds like he and I would get along famously... at least right up until he breaks out the adult coloring books and we move on to that nasty bit about an affinity for a Manchester United player (COYS!).
- Bulldawg Illustrated let’s us in on what may be behind Rodrigo Blankenship’s sudden aversion to directional kicking. I don’t know what confluence of events brought us to this point, but all I have to say about the matter is “Thank you... from the very, very bottom of my heart”.
- Finally, I’m sure you all thought MaconDawg was the big recruiting guru around here, but I’ve got news for you. He’s not the only game in town. To wit, Jack Bauerle gonna Jack Bauerle.
That’s all for this morning, Dawg fans. Until later...
GOOOO DAWGS!
