Georgia to play Mississippi State under the lights

NCAA Football: Samford at Mississippi State Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

It appears that Georgia will once again be having fun after dark next weekend.

It was announced this evening that the Bulldogs’ September 23rd game against Mississippi State will kick off at 7:00 pm in Sanford Stadium. It will mark the fourth evening start in four games for the ‘Dawgs, which I cannot remember happening, well, ever. If anyone remembers the last time Georgia played four consecutive night games please drop us a note in the comments, because I’m stumped.

The game will also mark a homecoming of sorts for several former Bulldogs. Of course former UGA defensive coordinator Todd Grantham now fills the same role in Starkville. Former Bulldog linebacker Christian Robinson is working as a defensive graduate assistant for the Bizarro Bulldogs. Defensive tackle Chauncey Rivers left Athens for junior college after disciplinary issues before ending up in Starkville. Safety Jonathan Abram left after 2015 when Jeremy Pruitt decamped to Tuscaloosa. Until later...

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
