Winning Smart Victory Post #10

Bad Luck Of the Irish Edition?

NCAA Football: Georgia vs Florida
A Happy Kirby
Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

My deepest apologies for the lateness of this post yet again this week. I have been away from home in the frozen yankee wasteland quite a bit this month. My world will settle down later this week. That said, on with the celebration.

It is our intention to celebrate Georgia Football Wins whenever and wherever they occur. The ugliness of any particular win is irrelevant for the purposes of the Winning Smart Victory Post.

It is therefore my deepest honor and privilege to bring to you this week’s edition of: Winning Smart Victory Post.

Coach Kirby Smart currently boasts a 10-5 record and a 0.667 winning percentage, having carded his tenth win overall and continuing the Georgia Bulldogs tradition of beating the Irish. At the identical juncture in their careers:

Vince Dooley’s 15th game as head coach resulted in a Bulldog Victory over Clemson giving Coach Dooley a record of 11-3-1 and 0.767 percentage.

Coach Mark Richt was 11-4 (0.733) after beating Sakerlina during the 2002 season. His second season with Georgia was CMR’s best season during his tenure.

Fifteen games in to his head coaching career Kirby Smart is 3rd in line trailing Coach Vince Dooley by one & a half game and Coach Mark Richt by one game. He’s just slightly behind the two winningest coaches in Georgia Football History.

As always . . .

Go 'Dawgs !!!
