Around the SEC

Football is back! Before this weekend’s games begin, let’s catch you up on the happenings around the SEC:

  • Arkansas kicked off the season with a 49-7 victory over Florida A&M. It wasn’t the most glamorous opponent, but Arkansas’ rush offense could be a force this year.
  • Florida has named redshirt freshman Feleipe Franks the starting QB for tomorrow’s game against Michigan. That’s one way to make your debut: at Jerry World, without your best WR, and with Rashan Gary bearing down on you.
  • Lane Kiffin came out and said he thinks Alabama would’ve defeated Clemson if he had been calling plays. Who knows if this is true, but I do know that Kiffin being a head coach again is awesome if for no other reason but the sound bites.
  • Tennessee head coach Butch Jones has stated he doesn’t need to name a starting QB ahead of their game against Georgia Tech. Because Champions of Life don’t have time to bother with trivial matters such as naming a starting QB.

Until next time… GO DAWGS!!!
