Kevin Kisner enters day two atop the PGA leaderboard

it's always a good week to see a Georgia Bulldog at the top of the PGA tour leaderboard. But that feeling is especially sweet when the ‘Dawg in question is leading a Major Championship.

Kevin Kisner is doing just that, sitting atop the leaderboard at Quail Hollow after firing a four under par 67 in the first round of this week’s PGA championship.

Brian Harman also had a nice first day on the course, shooting a two under 69, tying him with Rickie Fowler, Patrick Reed, and others.

Things didn’t go as well for the other Dawgs in the field. Russell Henley carded a four over 75 and is tied with a ton of golfers for 80th. Bubba Watson and Hudson Swafford’s 77s have them in...108th. Chris Kirk (138th) and Paul Claxton (147th) would probably still trade with them.

It was a good day to see great golfers shoot terrible scores. So acute was the beating dished out to pros today that only 33 golfers in the 154 man field are within five shots of the lead. The fact that two of them matriculated in Athens means that we may be once again watching a Bulldog contend for a major this weekend. Until later...

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
